Notes This is a picture of the “Hubble Ultra Deep Field.” Each point of light in this photo is an entire galaxy comprised of hundreds of billions of stars that have the potential for harboring life just like our own sun. When I wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee, I do so knowing that others in the universe are also experiencing an exhilarating caffeine rush to start the day.

Neil deGrasse Tyson explains his “fascinatingly disturbing” thought.

  • Text Guinea Pigs.

Guinea Pigs is a dream that involves a human experiment conducted by a university science professor. I was in a class of eight people with completely different personalities. The professor thought it would be interesting to run an experiment that challenged our self-awareness; which in turn gave insight into studying the portion of our brain that grants consciousness. He left one portion of the brain inhibited, which allowed for each student to know that they weren’t themselves and that their true identity was alive inside of another student. The trick was for a student to eat a skittle; when this happened, the individual would become aware (for a short period of time) of their personality present in another student making them able to question, analyze, and scan the surrounding population for their consciousness. The dream continued with the professor letting us loose in an arcade where the only skittles available were enclosed in a glass case. The only way to get these skittles was to earn tokens from the arcade’s games. When cashing in my tokens for a quick burst of conscious granting candy; I noticed a student breaking in and stealing the money from the register. I chased him down, stopped him, and subdued him. It turns out; it was the professor who also transferred his consciousness into one of the student test subjects in an attempt to rob the lucrative arcade without his actual physical persona being responsible once the experiment was lifted. The arcade should consider themselves lucky that a moral person’s consciousness was present in my young, athletic, and pursuit-enabled body. This is where the dream ended.

This is quite possibly one of the greatest/funniest things ever done in a VF tee. Enjoy Spencer Sotelo of Periphery singing drunk karaoke.
